Hey yall I have had a 40 gallon for over 3 years now, my anemone has split 3 times now and gsp is growing very vastly. I have 2 clowns, 1 chromi,
2 gobies, and 1 brittle starfish. I plan to move the brittle star to the 75 gal eventually because he is a monster and I don’t want any deaths in the 40. Is this a good idea?

I plan to get a 75 gallon tank running in my other room and I’ve ordered the stand pictured below. Any thoughts on this brand I always stress over the stand and the actually ability to hold the 800lbs.

Finally is it worth pushing for the extra 25 gallons and setting up a 100 galllon? My end goal for this new tank is 1-2 tangs and a puffer.

Any thoughts are appreciated and I know I have many questions thank you in advance!

That stand is fine, if you’re unsure about it, have everyone In your house step on it and see how it holds the weight.

If you can go bigger I would definitely go as big as you can, but a 75g is fine for a tang and a puffer.

Also, most puffers aren’t reef safe all the time, and definitely not safe around inverts. so keep that in mind if you ever think about getting corals and other inverts.

Depends on the puffer and tang. A toby puffer yeah. I would go for the biggest you can get

Thank you I plan to keep the 75 gal fish only and keep all my corals and snails in the 40 gal tank. Is tangs and puffers a good combo? Would you add any other large fish?

I will eventually add a school of fish that is a match for the puffer as well. I prefer a dog face but thoughts?

A Tang and puffer will get along fine. The only other large fish that would be good in 75g is like a dwarf angel and marine betta or something.

Dog face get way to big for an 75 and 100 gallon. A saddleback or blue spot puffer would be better.
