No filter. Shooting in RAW and editing in Lightroom. I also turn my camera white balance as high as it goes (10k).

If colour balance isn't getting you there (in the camera or after in LR) you might have a look for a Tint or Hue control in LR. I use Darktable so I don't know what LR calls it.

I have tried a few different options in Lightroom. The photos at the beginning of the thread were adjusted using the white balance slider. Which is quite effective and gives wide range when editing RAW files, but I found sometimes the colors need different treatment. The clownfish are a good example. The orange bars get too warm before the blue is eliminated from the white bars. I started using the Point Curve tool on the more recent photos in this thread and think it helped me dial in color better. This gave me separate control of saturation of the different color channels.

That's a good article. Thank you. The color range mask sounds very helpful. I haven't seem that mask in Lightroom Cloud. I wonder if it is only in Classic. Maybe I will try to find it in Photoshop

I know learning curves on new software can be daunting, but you might consider Darktable instead of Lightroom. It's free and VERY capable.

Here's it's color controls showing a parametric mask selecting based on color range

Daunting indeed. I understand a few of those words. Lol. Honestly, I am a filthy casual when it comes to photography and editing. I basically fell in to the Adobe ecosystem because my sister and daughter are avid users. I received several crash courses, and the programs are fairly intuitive to me.

Thank you, that means a lot. If you (or anyone else) have any favorites, I would love to hear. I have mine, but am always curious what resonates with other reefers.
You mean from your photos or it could be from us, sorry for the silly question lol
