Brought this guy home yesterday. Didn't notice this at all so I'm pretty sure it happened overnight or something. Thoughts? It's just the one eye.

Looks like a bacterial infection. Since it’s in a qt pick up some kanaplex and follow the instructions. Should clear up pretty quickly.

Copied this for you. Epsom salt can help with the swelling while treating with antibiotics.

Epsom Salt:
Treats eye and other injuries. Popeye in one eye usually means injury, but popeye in both eyes usually denotes a bacterial infection requiring antibiotic treatment. Cloudy eye can be a bacterial infection or flukes.

How To Treat - 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons of aquarium water. Repeat only once, if necessary. Use only “USP” grade Epsom salt.

Update on this guy. I dosed the kanamycin. I also ended up dosing prazi since he was breathing quite fast mid day and I thought maybe the eye infection was secondary to flukes. 1-2 hours after prazi he was on his side breathing quickly. Did a FW bath in case his gills were infested with flukes. I've had an airstone in this tank since early this morning, but just in case of O2 depletion from the prazi/kanamycin I dosed 0.3mL of 35% food grade peroxide (this tank is 15 gallons) to boost oxygen levels a bit.

I'm fairly certain flukes came off during the FW dip, unfortunately these are the best pics I got from the container. Anyways, now the fish is kinda going in between laying on its side and then swimming up to the surface. Rinse and repeat. We'll see if it makes it through the night.

That is not good. I have used kanaplex + furan-2 + metroplex for 14 days along with the Epsom salt for infected eyes with success.
