Hi :)
I recently got a beautiful frogspawn coral, and it opened up nicely for the first few days in my tank. However, since then, it has started retracting and hasn’t opened up fully. My tank is 6 months old, and I want to make sure I’m not doing anything wrong.

Here are my current water parameters:

• Nitrate: 10.1 ppm
• Phosphate: 0.01 ppm
• KH: 8.8
• Magnesium: 1450
• Calcium: 447

Lighting: I’m running two Maxspect L165 Blue Edition lights on 1-8-1 schedule with these channels: 25% UV + violet, 60% blue, 50% royal blue + cool white, 10% green, 15% warm white, and 5% red.

Flow: Moderate flow area. It’s not getting blasted, but there’s a gentle sway.

Placement: slightly below mid-tank.. dont have a par meter and its not that easy to get one in my country :/

Any idea why it might not be happy? Could it be the phosphate being too low, or maybe flow/light-related? I’m open to suggestions or ideas based on your experience. I’d love to get it back to its happy state!

Thanks in advance! Attaching a video.

Using hanna ulr also, so what is your advice? Im feeding 3 times a day, adding frozen and nori but every couple of days but po4 is still bottomed (but i do see GHA on the rocks and my softies and zoas are happy.. are they consuming it all and nothing is left for the lps?)

Im also dry skimming and dosing carbon as to what my nitrates level are
What are you using to check phosphate?
On my Hanna checker if it read 0.01 my frogspawn would also not be happy.
After two days of 0 phosphate all of my lps were starting to shrivel.

I add Nyos phosphate to my tank almost daily.
For a couple of months it was daily.
I also feed reef roids occasionally which will increase my phosphates overnight.
For your GHA try a turbo grazer and order some amphipods.
