Im looking for an acro that grows relatively quickly, is harder to kill compared to other acros and can be acquired for a decent price.

1) aquacultured instead of harvested from the ocean
2) tenuis and milipora are the biggest colonies in my tank
3) "green" florescence colored ones have the lowest PAR needs and relatively more prevalent spectrum needs due to the optimal activation range of the cyan flouresence protein

I think I'm going to pick up a green slimmer and a tenuis this weekend. They look really cool. I really like that up and out shape of the tenuis. @Dkmoo if you could put a picture of your tank now that would be really cool to see what it would look like in your tank. And if you have AI lights I would like to know your presets. Hope that's not too much to ask but I really appreciate everyone's help.

Sure, here you go. Both are about 3 years now? And that's with me actively trimming the front one and the back one surviving a RTN where I lost half of the colony.

The first year or so of this period I used 3 AI Prime's + 2 reefbright light sticks on a 30L. (2 of the 3 AIs were the first gen that werent as strong, that y i need 3). The par at the time is around 500. I used a modified saxby presets (from the AI website) bc of the extra blue i have from the reefbrite). I would also highly recommend a par meter. Takes all the guesswork out of it. A seneye is not that expensive (compared to a designer acro ones you get addicted to the sticks)

About 1.5 years ago I moved and upgraded to my current 65G and now I use the orphek icon using their stock helios setting

EDIT: sry I got the names mixed up, my back one is a slimer (yongie) not tenuis. Front is the milli but their "hair" didn't come out now when I took the pic
