Happy Gotcha Day Hewbie! Today officially marks two years since I got Hewbie. Gotcha day is a very important day for those of us who are adopted like me it marks the anniversary of your adoption day. I got you as a small three-four inch nugget and you were so scared when you came to work with me and then refused to eat for a week. You’ve had your struggles over the years but now you are massive and thriving. I love you so much here’s to many more amazing years with you.:star-struck:

Very nice. I adopted my son from Vietnam 27 years ago, and his Gotcha Day is one of the best days of my life.
I too am adopted from China and am a strong advocate for adoption. I have published my story please feel free to read it. I believe it is something you can probably relate to at least this is my perspective of the adoptee…I realized I wrote the post as the perspective of Hewbie when I was really saying I’m adopted too and I hope people got that part lol. https://aydenlincoln.org/

That’s great Ayden. I read your story and find it inspiring. My son was also abandoned as an infant in Vietnam, and is now a successful laboratory technician, and more importantly a sweet and caring man. When he was ten, he declared his favorite fish the coelacanth. Sadly I don’t have one of those yet.

I read your story and I had no idea, but it's absolutely inspiring!

I'm from near Canandaigua NY, my wife and I take a Karate class with a 14 year old Vietnamese boy who's adopted. One of the nicest, most respectful kids I know :)
