I have the exact same piece, tracing it back to the 90s as well. Such a cool underrated coral. Has a special place in my heart!I'm assuming you intended to add any undescribed species as well in your OP.
I got a Palau green finger colony in '97 a year before El Nino killed most of the sinularia in '98. It thrived in my tanks and a colony was donated to the Texas State Aquarium. Investigating the FALSE rumors of it's extinction in 2010 (it was also typically misidentified as nepthia) I found a taxonomist to identify what I was keeping. Turns out I had one of several species of finger type Sinularia and one of 6 new species identified by van Ofwegen in 2008. So for a decade I had an undescribed species in my tanks.
How long did you have him?
Idk if id say this guys is “rare” but I thought he was the coolest thing I’ve ever owned. His name was Dylan, he was about the size of a ping pong ball.
Very interesting looking wrasse!
Gunther's wrasse (Pseudolabrus guentheri), it's not very brightly coloured and it's not found in deep waters off japan... but it's probably still rarer than what 99% of 'rare' fish are! It's endemic to the subtropical waters of eastern Australia. This guy is an absolute beast too and is not scared of any other fish.
About 5 monthsHow long did you have him?
Wow! Not too long!About 5 months
Yeah, that’s the sad part about dwarf octopuses.Wow! Not too long!
Yes, the best way i could describe their movement and behaviour is if a tuskfish was crossed with a Thalassoma wrasse.Very interesting looking wrasse!
Do you have pictures?
Just love my giant knobby creeper. Cerith snail. About 4 inches, not rare, maybe a little uncommon. Also had a stonefish years ago, that thing was awesome.
I didn't realize until now the video didn't come through. I'll have to wait until he comes out tonight, lol. I'll get some pictures then, not video.Do you have pictures?
Here is one picture. He's partially buried at the momentDo you have pictures?
is ur jeweled in with ur bettaI would say my marine betta and eels! Dont see many marine bettas in the hobby. While snowflakes and zebra eels are common, my jeweled and white eye morays are not so common! Love my eels, my centerpiece fish for sure
That snail is huge! I thought it was just some rocks at first
