Randy, i have been dosing vodka (follow the chart) for 2,5 weeks now & still don’t see any improvement. My nitrates keep swaying around the 60 mark. Am i doing something wrong?
I kept my phosphates at 0,10 while dosing the vodka.

Could you assist me a little bit more?
I added more dry rock & bio surface last week to hopefully add more bacterial to help get rid of the nitrates in time.

Is there any visible bacteria? If not, I’d up the dose, but it can take a while.

Visible bacteria?
I just switched today from vodka to nopox.
Dosing a little less then prescribed for safety reasons

A main limitation on organic carbon dosing is if bacteria become visible and ugly in the display tank. Including cyano.
