Help ID this guy please

I think it's some kind of bristle worm but looks very different than all the other bristle worms I have.

Any chance you could get clear pics of the head and tail?

If not, the long, thin, stringy bristles without huge parapodia would have me guessing a Syllid worm of some kind - I'm not familiar with the particular kind though. They're likely harmless, but their diets have proven to be pretty tough to get a handle on for the scientific community.

Thanks @ISpeakForTheSeas. Trying with the macro lense but it's too hard to focus, it moves a lot. Here are a few.

I have to report the subject has been tried and found guilty of squatter crimes and condemned to death by asphyxiation in a cup to be carried out immediately. (I fell asleep and he died in the cup I had put him in last night). I'd still be curious to know the ID. He was in my goni as you can see in the picture. There are some other forum threads with goni worms but none of them give a positive id.
I dip all my corals, so this guy either survived the dip or came in some other way.

I'm actually somewhat surprised I don't know what this worm is - I'm confident it's a Syllid worm of some variety, and I know a couple of Odontosyllis species that look superficially quite similar (though not quite right), but I haven't been able to pin down a specific ID on this yet.

If I find one, I'll be sure to come back and post it here, but no guarantees.

That's the beauty of owning a saltwater tank . You learn something new even tho you have the knowledge of a god .
