Even aggressive fish can take time to adjust to a new environment. That doesn't make them a "bad" LFS, in my opinion. These stores are in business to sell fish, and they will often tell you what you want to hear to make a sale. That's far from a perfect world scenario, but it's human nature. Get salifert or Hannah checkers, imagitarium can and maybe r giving u false readingsim using the imagitarium master tester kit
