If this Hobby isn't confusing enough, there are an abundance of titles and names that are often confusing as to how they are pronounced. Some are:

Sicce - Sea-chay - we often hear Sice
Tunze - Tune - zee - we often hear Tons
Chaeto - Kato - we often hear cheeto
Noopsyche - Noop-sh= We here many variations such as Noop-sike

What are some you have seen or mis-pronounced (dont be bashful) ?

Between being a former alter boy in the Catholic church and all the biology I have studied I am good a greek and latin words. Even then people say I talk funny because "they say" I have a Texas accent. I talk perfectly fine, its you other folks that talk funny, lol! So my word is:
polychaete (aka bristleworm) = poly keet.
