@axlzys I cannot access 192.168.1.90:5000 even though I can log in via SSH through the terminal and check that the IP 192.168.1.90 is currently active. The file I am downloading has already reached nearly 32GB, and I'm not sure if there is an issue with the file

can anyone telll me how to upload code to rasberry pi, did not understand the github page
I just want to give feedback that I might not use this project (as well as transfer the logic code to another platform). I found the testing solution from Aquawiz, which is currently working quite well for my tank :D

There is a rapid decrease in the area where I dose water from the calcium reactor, as well as where I take water samples for testing, likely due to poor water circulation.

It sounds like a technical issue when starting the software. If you're near Cầu Giấy, Hà Nội, I can help you.

Hi axlzys,

Thanks for sharing your project. Inspired by Your work, I decided that I would try to make it too. Of course, I had to change it a bit, to suit me :)

My version is based on RPi Zero 2W. I also changed the pumps to peristaltic ones based on stepper motor, and since the tangle of cables started to bother me, I decided to make a dedicated PCB. The above forced me to make some changes to the code too. Of course, I also had to design the casing from scratch.

I'm currently waiting for it to print. Below are some photos of my version :)

Hi axlzys. I still cannot connect to the webpage. I feel silly as so many people have made this work. I checked all the wiring. Made sure the ph board was connected. The rasberry pi appears on my network as 192.168.1.90. When I type into my web browser 192.168.1.90:5000, nothing appears. I have used a 64gb sd card so it has enough room. Not sure what to do next.

The server has been shut down. The easiest way is to format the memory card and set up the Pi from scratch.
OR:
- SSH to server. (from terminal)
- find workdir location (The item that has the app.py)
- run "python --version" if not success - need install it (google)
- run "python path/to/main.py"
I'm not entirely sure about the steps since I've never tried running it before. My only Pi is currently set up with a different system, so I can't reset it to check.
But the issue still lies with the server not running. It could often be due to hardware compatibility or network issues—maybe.

Thank you. Ok I will try that.

Failing that, I will use chatgp to write a new program. Should be straightforward if I tell it which gpio pins do what.

Worth a try as a project.

Will let you guys know how I go.

Has anyone re-coded this project. What libraries did you use for the dfrobot asd1115 and ph components? In fact what libraries did you use full stop?

Thanks,

Dilshan

Actually, you only need an ESP8266 or ESP32 chip. The task is simply to automate operations (running pumps 123, recording measurements, etc.)—things that microcontroller code can handle. The use of a Raspberry Pi is mainly to make it easier to deploy code (Python code), web interfaces, and so on.

If it were me, I would use the ESP8266 for control and then send signals to a central server (a Raspberry Pi running HomeAssistant) to process the data and display it.

I purchased the exact hardware referenced in the original BOM spreadsheet. I tried to recode everything in python but ran into issues with the libraries particularly relating to the dfrobot ads115 and ph boards. I am not sure how to code for them as it seems they need a library, referenced here;

Am I overly complicating things. Is there an easier way to do this?

Thanks.

Dilshan
