Lol
Yes, I do. Published years ago. Seachem came after me full bore after I showed it, did their own study which by their own statements did not have the needed sensitivity to see the aluminum I reported, and claimed none was released.
Again, by their own statements, Seachem has a very low hurdle to make claims, including claiming things they have no data on, but which some of their customers reportedly observe.
Have you gotten an icp to observe for yourself? It’s easy these days. No need to believe me or Seachem.
What did your data show. Can you publish it?Seachem wouldn’t lie to us

If that's the case then we should sue them with a class action law suet. What did your data show. Can you publish it?
Is there a consumer test available? It was published long ago and is widespread knowledge. Part of the study is here, and part was posted at Reef Central as a follow up with some Seachem requests on how to improve the study.

fWIW, I deleted the part of your comment on a lawsuit as that is against the reef2reef terms of service.

I just sent out an ICP this week on my 150. I had 1 cup of phosgaurd in a nylon bag when I pulled the sample. I have done icp in the past with no high aluminum results. There’s no home kit, but icp is a standard reefer test now.
Cant make it up lol

I do only run it for around a week and remove it when po4 gets to .05. I add when it hits .15. It can take a couple weeks before it gets to .15.
So I have a range that works for my system. I have not ran it on a continous basis so that may be why I don't get elevated values. I will chime in when my test results are done.
Sorry have to ask again what is GFO ?Phosguard is pricey but it does work.
I am interested in this as I blame phosphate for quite a few things not being a chemist Mr. Farley. I use clearmax as well along with other removal media with a Fluval canister filter which I think I can assume is like a reactor set up. The problem I am having is that I have a 40 with the same filter with the same media and it is crystal along with coralline algae allover. MY 90 along with a 40 sump Still has green algae growing on the glass and hair algae growing on my water outlet nozzles, and power heads. Totally confusing as I am doubling down on the 90 which are packets by the way. The only up side is that my Vlamigi Tang Loves following me around when I clean the glass with my razor blade cleaner and licks the algae upAh headed in the right direction. Checked with the Hanna phosphate checker this morning and I'm at 0.53. It's the lowest reading so far. I ran out of the Phosguard so I'm using the Fluval Clearmax. Using two packets in my 75 gallon tank. There is a certain trick to the Hanna checker as I get on occasion a 0.90 wich is a fault code, usually stemming from fingerprints on the vial. Now wiping with both a lens wipe and lens cleaning cloth. Those regents are a bit pricey! All seems to be well. Will advise.

Amazing quit a feat guess I will have to start reading againPhosphate may have negative effects at high levels, but a lot of great tanks have values above 1 ppm. This one, for example:

Rich Ross - Home Tank - guess the phosphate
This tank was built before r2r, here is a link to some links about the build. http://packedhead.net/home-reef/ Current test results: 03-17-2017 Ammonia (NH3-4) Good 0 0.000 - 0.050 mg/L 03-17-2017 Nitrite (NO2) Good 0.006 0.000 - 0.100 mg/L 03-17-2017 Phosphate...www.reef2reef.com
Just got back icp.Sounds good.![]()
Just got back icp.
A couple things off.
With everything else good.
Al 66!
Have already switch back to gfo. I had not ran an icp in over 5 years so glad I did. This is from minimal in a nylon bag over the last 10 months so.
Strontium high. Stopped dosing. 1-10 was my range.
RoDi was 0 except for Si-292.
In tank Si was normal 95 so?
I used to believe Seachem also, do an ICP and you'll see your high aluminum levels. I used this crap for far too longDo you have personal data to confirm this? Seachem says otherwise.
