Hydros Maven is Delayed

I’ve been eagerly awaiting adding the Maven to my Hydros ecosystem, but just came across this article. No specific release date has been provided which gives me worry that it might be a very long while before we see it.

“We wanted to provide you with an update on the release of the Maven, a highly anticipated product from the HYDROS product line. Our original goal was to have the Maven available to the public by Black Friday 2024.” CoralVue told retailers in an email announcement.

“However, due to several improvements that we are making to ensure the highest quality product, we regret to inform you that this goal will not be met. As the Maven is a one-of-a-kind product, we have decided to add extra layers of testing to guarantee its performance and reliability.”

“Although this decision has pushed back the release date, we feel it is crucial to provide a product that meets and exceeds your expectations. Currently, we do not have a revised release date but will inform everyone as we approach it.”

“In the meantime, we will be releasing a CVtv Podcast video today with more information about the delayed release of the Maven. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we appreciate your understanding and patience.”

Yep, I was also waiting since its announcement back in April. I guess I’m a bit relieved by this delay because I broke down and purchased a trident a couple weeks ago. I just didn’t want to wait for the Maven to come out, then wait for the guinea pig buyers to review it, then wait for any bugs to get fixed if there were problems, etc. Now that it’s delayed I’m glad I went ahead and purchased my Trident. I don’t know but it’s reported that they may be adding more features and who knows now if that might make its price go up even more.

I might still get one at a later date and sell the Trident, but at least I have some auto testing right now.

What Rumors? It is delayed, they say they are adding features and they also said that they were still working on making it right. There is nothing set in stone with the price, other than maybe people who pre-ordered. Nobody knows what reagents are going to cost or the consumption, etc.

One rumor was they are adding features and raising the price. That rumor.

I need to watch the video but I hope they adjust alkalinity to use titration like their other controller. Titration for alkalinity measurement is awesome

Of course it is. They have not made any indication that they plan to raise the price. Its just all rumor. If you prefer call it unsubstantiated speculation
