I dose 2 BRS two part with original balling c and elements A-and K+ for trace. I would like to switch to Kalkwasser.

If I just continue to dose original balling C and the trace, would this give me everything I would need to maintain reef chemistry? Is there a formula out there for this?

I think the balling part C is a sodium free salt, which helps prevent salinity drift when using 2 part. It’s not needed with Kalk dosing. I don’t know if it does any harm but I’m sure Randy will comment.

I dose Kalk and also trace elements from all for reef, maintains things quite well.

Part C is magnesium and potassium. I just learned that the other day.

Why switch to kalkwasser? If you want the higher pH, just switch your alkainity to sodium hydroxide

I don’t think you need part C if you switch to kalk. The part c is to keep the chloride ions balanced or whatever.

You’d just need to figure out how much K+ and A- you’re dousing per unit of dkh and convert that to kalk and dosing the K and I by hand or dosing pump.

That’s also a good option, especially if kalk cannot keep up.
