Finally got around to taking some pics with the DSLR. Man am I out of practice with that thing, but I managed to get a few good pictures. I actually took them a couple of weeks ago, but have been too busy to get them off the camera and ready to post. I have had a little time to work on it this weekend, so have a few ready to post. Hope you enjoy.

Let's start with a FTS:

A couple pics of the tang gang:

And finally (for today), a coral that I have tried many times in the past (in different tanks) and success with it has always eluded me. The OG Oregon Blue Tort:

Lost power at around 3:00 this afternoon. Lots of wind here today.
Original estimate was that power would be back on by 8:00 this evening. Now they are saying 8:00 tomorrow morning.

First time I've had to/gotten to fire it up, but glad I have this thing.

Tank dropped to 76 before I got it turned on about an hour ago. Normally run tank at 77.5. Not bad. I think everything will be fine.

How long was the power out?

Man if has been way too long since I updated the thread. Life has just gotten very busy with a senior in high school and two other's we are trying to keep up with. Tank is chugging along. Lost a couple corals, and growth has been somewhat slow, but no major catastrophes.

Here are a few cell phone pics I took this afternoon. Not the greatest quality, but gives everyone a feel for where the tank is at.

I love your aqua scape, it really looks like a section of the ocean floor!

Thanks. I wanted plenty of open space for fish to swim, but still enough structure to mount corals and have them grow out somewhat naturally.

For a little different perspective, here are views from each end of the tank. Again taken today with my cell phone.

Got a few top down pictures over the last few days. Trying to get them to look good made me realize a few things

1. I am way out of practice with the camera.

2. I hate the editing program I am using, so may need to look for another one.

3. I guess I need more practice with both.

Regardless, I will share a couple of very sub-par pictures that somewhat resemble what is going on in the tank.

It blows my mind how clean you keep that tank. Your glass looks untouched by a reef tank.

Thanks. It just becomes part of the weekly routine. Clean glass, stir sand, blow out rocks, water change. Most of the time I enjoy that part of the hobby as well. There are times when I would rather do other things, but I enjoy looking at the tank when it is clean so I do the maintenance.

I meant to get some more photos posted this week, but work got crazy and I didn't have much time to get on and post on the forums. Anyway, better late than never:
