Looks great. Is this the premium or base?
100lbs of base. Thinking I might need one big premium in there and stack the one in the corner on top. I put 3 softball sized ones in the sump. the 3 rocks on the corners are pretty good caves and the rest is more like tunnels from stacking. after 7 days, only a little ammonia rise. Pulled out 10 gallons of water, put the sand in, then replaced with fresh salt water. After it cleared this morning, I aquascpaed some and did another 4 gallon change. will leave it like this through the holidays and monitor the levels. Lots of colorful sponges, red, yellow, white, blue. 2 brittles are crawling around. Might get more for the sump.

Yeah, this thing will be ready for anything in a week or so. How much of the LR do you expect to die off? I was also going down the TBS route (although doing 80 lbs dry, 20-30 tbs). Looking at your rocks I thought they were the premium.

Are you running lights right now?

Nice build! I would have gotten this tank if I had the room for it.
And props for going with TBS! :D

rock is really great. the base really had a lot of life on it. May get a 20lb Premium or a branch to spruce it up. Still waiting on the mounting bracket for the Hydra. I thought it would have been with the light.

Found a limpet today on the rock. Finally got the bracket for a Hydra to hang it. Will add more hydras later. LFS convinced me Neptune Sky was too much light. All the sponges really brighten it up with color.

What all do you have stocked in the sump?
Marine Pure ceramic balls, 4 smaller base rock and a bunch of crabs from the live rock, Bashsea 6/24, 700W IM Helio, 3-200 socks, Tunze ATO. Did't think I needed carbon yet as I wanted minimal. Have Snacklepack in DT and Sump.

Nice. I put some pods in mine too (just DT to start, but I should seed the fuge a little — although the Live rock probably has some on it)

thinking on more to a CUC in the sump for algae control. Cowries as time progresses. Have them in the biocube and they are very active when the lights go out so would be great in sump. no chaeto plans currently unless there's nutrient issues. I do not want to see a red grow light leaking out the back of the stand.

How are you liking the Banshsea 6x24 and what are you driving it with? I’m considering one as I need an external due to my sump size.

i went with the Sicce syncra 5.0. It hums too loud. I’ll get a different pump ( DC) after I pick up a few other things first. I put mine in the sump which is a little tight. If you place it outside, you will need to extend the return on it to go out into the sump. Haven’t needed to run it much yet but will definitely oxygenate the water. If you get one, get the waste container too. You’d be able to run this for a long time before it fills.
