Ordered some stomatella and micro stats from TSA. I probably could find some from a hobbyist but I want to support them being sold commercially.

They were not expensive and very impressed with TSA. They shipped 3 bags, each loaded with pretty macro algae for the little delicate inverts. The algae will probably get consumed but is pretty in the tank.

Looking good! Strongly considered this tank recently. Looks like it would have been a good choice.
Thank you! It’s appreciated.

Did more par tests since turned the light down even further. Around 100 on the bottom and 200 on rock.

My friend has found his seem to like 100 par and have split many times so it makes sense this guy has settled on the bottom in that range.

Nice tank was looking at one. Can't beat the price. I have some anemone to get rid of. There just rainbows.

Sweet tank and coral! Looking forward to how it progresses. I can't wait to see a tank full of CSBs and happy pink skunks!

Got a pack from algaebarn of assorted pods, phyto, bacteria and marine snow. Nice stuff! I probably won’t use the snow since it’s for corals and the nem likes larger food items but the rest is great and should last a long time.

I like the spin steam but had to turn pump down or at the top will sometimes push water out, not a lot but worried when add snails they will alter the flow and direct water out of the tank.

Ordered vivid dual 1/4 rfg to replace it. Not as clean looking but hopefully still random flow and no splashes!

Oddly enough the tank has been plagued with cloudy water. I did a very large waterchange and next day it was worse.

Decided that I would add UV. It’s worked well in my other systems.

My LFS doesn’t have IM units but had a “Coralife BioCube Submersible 5W Mini Ultraviolet Sterilizer”.

These are not fancy, all plastic and sealed bulb connections so can’t change bulbs but the bulb is probably most the cost anyway.

Since these don’t have a pump they need to be plumbed into the AIO return. Thankfully the mighty jet has various size attachments and I was able to set it sorted with some silicone tape to get one fitting tighter. Bonus I didn’t need to modify the old lines so I can swap it back easy.

Actually fits well all things considered but not looking forward to taking it out. Tight fit.

5w isn’t much but in a 10g actual volume tank it is quite a bit.

I will say getting the vivid kit to work was much fussier than the uv install but all seems to be working well now. Hopefully uv is good for a year. Its all plastic so no issues like with their turbo twist

I love the 35 lens, otherwise the light would have to just be a couple inches above the waterline to not shine in your eyes when sitting next to the tank. This way I can mount it high for top down view and now have any light in the eyes or the kids eyes when they look at the tank. The 55 works too but I like the added height the 35 gives.

Of course it’s so strong in that small area I have to run the lights very low power but that just makes them last longer!

Yay it it attached to the bottom of the rock and decided to swing to the front today. Looks to have grown quite a bit. Also have coraline starting on the starboard. Of course CSB colors are far more vibrant in person!

Boring update. Tank is doing well, feed the CSB a couple pellets every few days, skunk clowns growing and love the nem. Stomatella and Trochus eating algae well and thankfully can get on the rocks. That can be issue with bare bottom but they don’t seem to mind with this layout.

More coraline on the bottom which I like. Will do couple gallon w/c this weekend to keep the coraline growing well.
