Built the sump today. Used a 5x15 line in a wooden box. Then added a extra sump next to it. It's circulating now with a canister filter. I'm using clams, they seem happy

I want to build an arch to go against the back wall and glue a bunch of corals to it. I think that might fill in the empty area without making the tank look crowded

I think Noah wrote his masters thesis paper on using clams as a filtration device, before building the ark...
Nice!

lol, That's awesome! I hope my clams do that. It will be hard to tell but they are fun either way. They look happy as a clam.

I fit the wall hammer in the back and moved the other corals further away. I have 4 power heads but still need more flow. That's tomorrow's problem. Sump is looking great. I added a big pile of anemones (rock flowers and bubbles tips). I've heard they are great for water filtering and lowering phosphates. I still adding smaller coral frags but it's taking a while. I want more colors in there.

It's a glass overflow on the right side w 3- 2" bulkheads. It was designed as a peninsula. I'm the guy from pa. Lol. I can't believe she got this far already
And you did an amazing job of repairing it for before selling it to me! Thanks for that, no leaks or issues. Its strong. You should post those cool pictures of you working on it.

I have been adding a few corals every day once I choose what I want to keep from the frag tank. I just got these bubble tips and one is a Chicago sunburst. Do you all think it’s safe to put in the tank or will it cause too many problems?
I got a nice underwater camera I will use to get better pictures of everything soon. I also added more frag tanks to the set up

GFSI kept tripping and causing issues the the shop. I ran new wires to run just the pump while I work on everything else. Replaced outlet and worked on other stuff. That’s when I got shocked in the water from the pump. ‍♀️
Then I replaced the pump with a big pool pump. At this point it was 2:30am and I walked away. Next day power tripped again as soon as AC turned on. Still too much power on that breaker. New wires have been ran again to a completely new breaker but same electrical panel (for now), had help this time so that might make a difference. Wish me luck because I haven’t checked it yet this morning. Electric company is planning on installing another breaker panel and a new account just for all the power in my garage. At that point I hope it works a lot smoother. I got this adorable little nugget in my feeder shrimp.

I’ll set up cute home for her today.
