Congrats you have diatoms. Maybe the start of a little red slime by the looks of little bubbles in strands coming off corals. You had some hair algae right? This is all a phase and right on que . Keep up with your tank cleaning. Get a few more hermits for now. Like 5 more.

Calcium carbonate aka coral snow helps with this. You get a jar of this.mix 2 tbs to 500 ml water. Let sit for 2 hrs. Broadcast in tank till slightly cloudy. Keep rest. Shake before using. You can use daily but i use weekly to monthly.You can add 10 ml of microbactor 7 in if you like. Also get rid of reefroids for that small tank and switch to benereef.

read on coral snow. It helps get particles out to be filtered.

Alright, and I don’t feed corals at all, and it’s been since march that I’ve had this tank…
what would the snow do? and what would the microbactor 7 do?
