Ask a professional soccer player to kick a ball at your tank at 42 % of his maximum. If it survives you’re good

Maybe you can try biting it instead…

at 11%, assuming you're close to the world record in strength.

Moved the new tank from the warehouse to the vacant office. Turns out the warehouse cement floor has some unevenness to it, which is probably not a good thing for storing the tank.

Goniopora stokesi

Milne Edwards and Haime, 1851
Characters: Colonies are free-living or attached, hemispherical or (rarely) have short thick columns. Calices have high walls which have a ragged appearance. Columellae are broad and irregular. Small satellite colonies often occur embedded in the living tissue of parent colonies. Polyps are of mixed sizes, the larger being elongate.

Going to be a hard week for the To-Do's! Lotta work, and it's the clone's bday on Saturday, so bday prep!

Notwithstanding, To-Do's:
1. 5gal Saltwater per day (except Friday, taking off early)
2. LASER ZAP AIPTASIA!! (my laser came in--let's see if it does anything)
3. Bite the bullet and pay up for the 48"x20"x15/16th" acrylic sheet... $200 :~(
4. Order the lighting mounts
5. Cement together the sump and new DT rocks
6. Start cooking the rocks
7. Clean glass
* Extra credit*
9. Cut the plexiglass cryptic refugium lid
10. Apply the vinyl film on the side-glass of the refugium area
11. Silicone the refugium weir wall

A ver...

Let me know how that laser works on aiptasia!

I'm going to keep injecting the ones I can reach. And pray the peppermints I threw in there is still alive and finally get on them. I know they eat aiptasia because I put them in my observation tank with aiptasia, and they cleaned it up. But not in my DT, probably because they are getting the free buffet from the sky.

Which laser did you get
Not a very good one, it seems. If I spend a couple of minutes on a small Aip, I can get it down to this:

But I don't think that is going to kill it.

And one even closer to the glass, only managed to burn a few tentacles:

I'm going to recharge batteries and try again from top down instead of through the glass--will also clean the glass and try again.

How many watts / mw is it?

I ask because evens with high powered 5w lasers it still takes over a minute to kill an aiptasia completely

I'll give it another shot after recharging batteries and cleaning the glass.
