Just got my aquadomes! Can't wait to restart my zoa garden with these. Would be super cool if they worked for shrooms as well.

I have 20 of these. Last count in the tank was ~18 different zoas, so should make for a nice hilly garden effect!
I really like those!

Woohoo! MP40 nem guard arrived. Very nice, and should be easier to clean than the honeycomb style.
1726517023072.jpeg

Nice extra nem shield on the inside for any fiesty nems trying to slip through.
1726517063544.jpeg

Two other flow pattern directors, too
1726517090983.jpeg

Also came with a free RFG nozzle to test out on the 1 inch return line!

How do you think these guards compare to the Neat Aquatics one?

I don't know. This one?

I looked at that one but didn't get it, because I was fairly sure that bubble algae would get stuck in the round holes. It still might get stuck in the one I got, though. But perhaps it won't stay alive there, as it wouldn't get any light. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have the Neat Aquatics one for my MP10. You are correct, it gets plugged with bubble algae and it is rather annoying. But the wide flow is much broader than the stock Mp10 so it came in handy for my nano.

Checking on the weir wall for the sump. Does that need to be tempered glass? I'm thinking no, but want to double check. @TangerineSpeedo @VintageReefer ?

Also, there is a 15 and 6/8ths (3/4, yes) in between front and back glass. Ok to plan 1/16th in extra space on either end for silicone? So 15 and 5/8ths x 4 in tall?

Also, is Aqueon black aquarium silicone trustworthy? It's just a weir wall, so not really holding in lbs and lbs of pressure from water weight. It will be resisting water that's pulling through at about 600-900 gph.

I’d go with GE silicon 1. Always worked for me

Nice! I got one of these for the MP10 in my refugium! Much better than the stock guard.

Lots of people say don't go with GE. But I didn't listen to lots of people. I went with GE on three different tanks so far.

I have used GE I on previous builds without issue. You want to avoid GE 2 or any other silicone with mold inhibitor additives.

no tempered glass, you break it it's gone , reg glass ,crack it repair it.
baffle and bottom plate.
On one of my previous 10 gal sump builds I used picture frame glass from the di/goodwill. I think I paid like .25 or .50 per frame. Pulled the glass and threw the rest of the frame away.

No need for tempered glass is correct.
