Just a burning line, but should I be expecting anything else?

I have a large one of these. I really don’t think they sting. I just went to mine and touched it.

Maybe you bumped into a bristleworm or urchin spine or something else

It sometimes happens that people become more sensitive to these things over time, so don’t discount the injury. I keep antibiotic cream handy and spread it on my wounds to minimize the possibility of infection.

I heard rubbing steal wool on the sting helps absorb the toxins.
