Love all the pics and rockscapes but the balance of not too much and not too little is what I love the best. And black sand reefs are the best IMO.
Here’s My 90 gallon

This is my new 20 gallon that i just set up (original one got overrun with gsp and palys). I decided to just save the desirable corals and start it over with new rock and a new tank.

It has roughly 40 lbs of rock. Mostly caribsea dry base rock, and two small pieces of mature, cured liverock to reseed the tank. Right now it just has the clown and damsel. I plan on getting a royal gramma and a cleaner shrimp later after this tank stabilizes from me re-doing it. Is this overdone?

When I was a teenager watching Jacques Cousteau videos and reading books about the ocean, one thing that captured my imagination was the reef wall or drop off. A vertical wall covered in coral, surrounded by Anthias and dropping off into a deep blue abyss. I've never dived one, but I still tend to recreate this image in many of my reef tanks.

150 lbs of real live rock with 40 lbs of base rock pinned together to make a dome shaped base. I wanted to have as much flow in and around the rock as possible. Which is why I did the island rock scape over the traditional wall like we used to do in the past.
