looking for advice. I have the room to either stack my mixing station tanks so RODI above and salt below or i can do side by side. I was wondering if anyone had any input on he upside or downside of these. I was thinking with vertical i could use gravity to fill saltwater tank with rodi but not sure. any comments appreciated.

I think it's close enough that it comes down to preference and available space. Having the rodi tank high means it's harder to service but chances that it needs servicing is pretty slim. Gravity seems moot because you need to incorporate a pump anyway but is easier to turn a valve than it is to turn a valve and turn on the pump.

Space is another consideration, if you're limited on height then side by side is the better choice, but if the opposite is true then above and below is better.

I think stacking is a great idea.

Heres my mixing station. Left can is RODI, Right is Saltwater. Have a panworld 100px pump to transfer rodi to the salt bin and to circulate the saltwater. Fairly simple yet effective. (Dont mind the power strip, even though it was powered neither bin had water in them lol)

So I've gotten tired of mixing salt in 5 gallon buckets. So I built a simple gravity feed mixing station.

Building the stand

Moved to the basement and all Plumbed

RODI Mounted on the back

Theres a float valve in the top Brute to shut off the RODI.
There's a valve to drop the RODI water straight down to the mixing Brute.
And there is a valve off the front with a 90 if I need to get RODI for anything else straight into a bucket.

I'm gonna order another pump to send the mixed salt up through the ceiling to the DT above. And another powerhead to move water and mix the salt.

All in so far $164.....not bad
