How do you circulate salt water without pumping into the RODI vessel?

Here is mine. RODI output goes to the top container. Bottom container is for saltwater. I have a bunch of valves that allow me to pump RODI or SW upstairs. The pump can also be used to mix & heat SW.

I might start using a different pump to mix the water because mine is heating the water too much, especially if I make small batch. I then have to start doing the salinity temp conversion to get my levels right. While easy enough, my goal is to minimize areas in which I can easily mistakes if I'm not careful.

Looks like he is using a 3-way union ball valve with an L-Port configuration. You can purchase these in 2 configurations. Either L-Port or T-Port. L-Port allows flow from one side only and blocks the other side or you can shut both sides while a T-Port works like an L-Port but can also mix from both sides.

Please excuse the dirty inline static mixer but I've convinced myself it helps with mixing.

I feel so LAME:

Oh...I've got that one beat! LOL

Dual purpose ATO and mixing station. Kamoer X1 Pro for top off (left acrylic tube) and Neptune DOS (in the stand) goes to the right acrylic tube. Daily top off via the Kamoer, then on Friday the Tunze Nano Stream on the bottom of the reservoir mixes up 10g of salt. The Kamoer is disabled via Apex whenever the Tunze is in operation. I have two tanks (100g and 60g) in the master bedroom, so space is quite limited.

Dt is directly above the sump. Wc are done by turning off return. Then I have a mini pump hooked into tubing that drains into the other side of basement where the washer machine drains. Drop in pump to diff chambers of sump and flip the switch to drain. Refil sump with water from white container using same pump that I use to mix the saltwater (white can) rodi is pimped over into blue can from other room where sanitary tub and washer is.
Hey. I picked up 3 barrels similar to yours today. For $90 total I figured it'd be a cheap option. Are those regular bulkhead fittings you used to tap into them? Did you have to do anything to get them to seal with the curvature of the barrels? I was also thinking about installing some barbs at the top and bottom with tubing in-between to be able to easily see how full they are since they're thick and blue. Thanks!

my work in progress. There will be a hose reel to use for filling the aquarium. Need to connect RODI system to cold water supply and that’s about it. Hopefully the aquarium will be delivered soon, the anticipation is killing me!

BTW, the inspiration for this setup came from Eat Sleep Reef’s youtube video. Tanks are hard to get these days.

One of the best things I ever did was create a proper mixing station
