That's what I think my plan is. I'll replug my frags, dip, look for aptasia, and superglue and I find. And if I'm forced to buy some peppermint shrimp later on it'll be fine. I plan to qt fallow before they go on my display anyways so should be able to catch any
pepps worked on it like a charm. I never see them but I also haven’t gotten one bit of aptasia since getting the shrimp, and i’ve gotten many frags this past year

How long do people quarantine corals? People on here, how long do you normally do that for?

3 months. In all the years I have been reefing...I have never had aptasia....knock on wood. I'd like it to stay that way

It's impressive how passionate hobbyists are regarding old school reef problems.

Each having a solid point, and all having found different ways to successfully manage the problem.

(One camp) If we as consumers held a tougher line against coral sellers, they would have to keep cleaner frags.

(Another camp) Pest are part of the hobby, get something that eats them.

(Another, another, camp) If you "zapped them" they won't get out of hand

(Another, another, another, camp) lock them in a QT tank and make sure its clean.

I watch these forums everyday, been awhile since I saw a tank FULL of aptaita.

Aptaita has been around forever, find the path to mitigation that calls to you and use it.

Happy Holidays!
