Macro algae ID

So I know most people on here will frown on this but I like to experiment since I live right by the ocean. We found this macro algae on the beach and it looked dead so I just thought I’d throw it into the tank as a decoration but after a few days it started to green up. Now it makes me curious if I can find out what it is and if it’s something I need to be concerned about taking over my tank.
PS: this is a FOWLR tank. No coral or anemones.

The closes thing I can find to what you have pictured is this. Different color though
