Have they been conditioned or treated with ciprofloxacin? I know these anemones have a lot of issues with bacterial infections when they are collected.

No, I don't find it necessary. I get them in a lot and have no issues. You can check around on R2R to see how well they do.

So tempting! What parameters do you keep these i

I have them under natural sunlight with lots of random flow and I feed them daily with pellets. I also have a display tank with several that has AI Hydra 64s mostly blue. Water parameters are normal natural saltwater parameters. I don't find them particularly difficult.

We have our own station in the Ha'Apai islands and collect them there. Most problems with these anemones are due to poor collection and handling techniques prior to ever arriving in the US. These arrive consistently in excellent condition.

Super healthy, fully conditioned Heteractis magnifica anemones. The natural host for Ocellaris and Percula Clownfish!

These are bulletproof!

NO ANTIBIOTICS!

Instead: proper collection, handling, husbandry, and diet!!

Antibiotics destroy the anemone's natural "good" bacteria defence force. Prophylactic antibiotic treatment is not needed nor wise!

Go natural for long term success and for ethical reefkeeping!

WHAT IS NEEDED FOR SUCCESS?
1. Acquire an excellent healthy anemone.
2. Provide intense lighting of a fuller spectrum. LEDs are a good choice.
3. Lots of random flow. Any powerhead must have an anemone safe guard. There are online sources for 3D printed options.
4. Multiple daily feeding with excellent quality pellets, I use and recommend these: https://pacificeastaquaculture.com/...ics-hatchery-diet?_pos=1&_sid=52101c08d&_ss=r
When feeding this please keep an eye on phosphates and act accordingly. Small frequent feedings are a guarantee for success.
5. Keep proper, natural saltwater, iodine level and check with ICP testing. Proper iodine level regulates good vs bad (pathogenic) bacterial balance. This is true in general for all tank inhabitants, such as Euphyllia, etc.
6. Add Clownfish and sit back and enjoy! Don't mess with success. Simple is best!

Will you guys be getting any gigantea in ?

Possibly later this month. My partner is looking for some in the Ha'Apai islands. I haven't gotten any from there before, but he says he's seen them but didn't know I wanted them. We'll see.
