Meridian 24 for 36x21x21 Tank?

Looking at lights for my new tank (LPS / Softies - no SPS) and curious if the Meridian 24 will be sufficient - I see that you can still find the Photons around a little and can likely get a Photon 32 - for around the same price is there a better direction?

This 24” is lighting a 36x20x6” tank for me just fine. It’s 2’ off the water and at 65%.

No you can go lower and still get coverage on the ends. This is a working grow out tank for zoas so I always keep my lights higher since I am in and out of them all the time.

Yeah no this spills out past the tank for sure at this height.

The Meridians are designed to be mounted lower with the default OHM (Ocular Holo Matrix) Balance optics. For a typical 24" front to back, and 24-30" top to bottom tank, the ideal mounting height is 8-12". With the Photons you want to be around 12-16".

You can go higher with the more narrow Focus Optics, and lower with the wider Encompass Optics.
