This aquarium have Mitras Lightbar 2 and 2 pcs of 120 deep Actinic. 1 pcs of 120 Actinic and 1 pcs of 120 Ocean Blue. Size 120 * 50 * 50 cm. No filter - it looks like this IRL. They are placed 10 cm above the surface

I measured PAR 6 years ago - I still have the same lights

I guess that you would have a similar look the following set up with Mitras Bar 3 like this - 1 pcs Coral pop, 2 pcs deep Ocean and 1 pcs Ocean Blue - all type 90

Sincerely Lasse

Beautiful. And thanks!

The LB3 160 would be suitable for that length tank. Depending on what kinds of corals you're keeping or plan to keep, 5-6 LB3 would be the sweet spot. If you're aiming for mostly SPS, do 6x LB3.

You can run this setup with only 3 power supplies and can start with 5 LB3. If you wanted to add a 6th LB3, you can do that without having to buy another PSU. Your configuration would like something like this:

Thank you i already bought the Profilux 4 so that's a good start. The active splitter is because the profilux had only 1 port out to control light? so it is to split it to 4 channels right? What color bars are used in the aquarium you posten on the start of this post on page 1? i like the natural look of it, its nice blue but not to heavily. I would like to start on heavy blue in the morning and tuwn down the white at the end of te day to get nice corol pops at the end of the day aswell. On the GHL website it is stated that this bar does 24 inch wide, but i guess thats for softy's than? i think i opt for 5 to 6 bars and tune them down so they do not run on 100%.
The Power supply's are meanwell's with a GHL sticker on it, does GHL sell's the connectors? I have some meanwell's left over.

What setup would you recommend for a 90cm wide x 60cm x 60cm tank. Mostly Softy/LPS. I don't love in-your-face blue. I don't mind a hint of it, and like the idea of being able to dial it up or down some depending on what's happening. But the tank is in my home office and I'm on zoom calls all the time!

And what typical mounting height do you suggest? I don't tend to love the look with the lights just a couple of inches from the tank, but not sure how well the light penetrates at given heights.
I suggest the Lightbar 3 in the 90cm size. For a 60cm deep tank, 2 LB3 would be enough. A mix of Ocean Blue and Coral Pop would give you a nice crisp blue when you're running the "daytime" part of your light schedule.

The LB3 penetrates water very well. We have users running them on 3+ foot tall tanks and the light still reaches the bottom. With the wire hanging kit, you can comfortably mount them 8-12" off the water or higher if you wanted to.

The initial post showed the LB3 with the following combo:
  • 1x Coral Pop
  • 1x Ocean Blue
  • 2x Deep Ocean
For softies and LPS, you'll actually be OK with 4-5. The Active Splitter serves a dual purpose and can be used when more than 4 LB3 need to be used or when the total LB wattage exceeds 320W (our largest PSU). For example, your tank would need the LB3 in the 160cm size which uses 126W. The largest PSU we offer is 320W which means you cannot run all 4 LB3 off of this one PSU. The solution to this is to run 2x LB3 160 on a 300W PSU. That's where the active splitter comes in.

The connectors are part of the PSU and LB3 and are not sold separately.

I will go for 6 to be able to run acro’s to than. What combo should i take , 2 coral pop 2 ocean blue and 2 deep blues? Does the coral pop only make the corals pop and not grow? Because that would me think rather to take 3 ocean blue’s and 3 deep blues.

All LB3 options will make corals grow. :)

Coral pop has carefully selected LEDs to enhance the fluorescent effect on coral tissue.

For 6 LB3, that's a good combo (2 CP / 2 DO / 2 OB).
