Hello, my names jake. Thanks for visiting! This Is my first time setting up and maintaining a reef(its just rocks now though). Also my first time joining a forum. Ok now I'll start with my set up. First I got the tank, rocks, and sand. Put sand in then rock then added my water and salt figured out how to dial in salinity and that I should wait awhile for it to mix not 10 minutes before testing it lol. Took me a few tries. After that I cycled my tank with fish food till readings where in check the did about 40-50 % water change
Added emerald crab first waited for an ammonia spike wasnt very noticeable, (also had a noob mistake panicked because I didnt see him for a few days took all my rock out, set them on garbage bags after carefully searching each one for him. No sign of him in rocks so went to sifting sand till I drained half the water. Gave up on him so proceeded to add rock back till all was back into the tank. And guess who was chilling in a puddle on the garage bag alive and well, probably mad lol. He's still alive and well now thankfully.) So I waited a week and then added my pair of clownfish which LFS had listed as chocolate dominos but did some research and cant find them so I dont what they are. Waited for a few days then added 2 blue leg hermit crabs and 3 nassauris snails to cuc. About a week and a half from that I got my reefcleaners 10gal cuc just snails plus a few snails and 3 more blue leg hermits I added to the order and that's pretty much caught up on my build so far

Okay so I'll just start with a list of what I have in the tank so far.

  13. Steve's LEDs upgrade with iridescent booster controlled by hurricanex with temp probe (awesome lights!)

Any update on this? :)
I'm sorry for the very late response but I have found new interest in the hobby I lost all but 1 clown fish but since then I've fix my water issues and have started on my coral collection. I have two zoa's, and two micromussa? Im not totally Positive yet. Also I replaced a clown fish, I got a purple dottyback, a wheeler goby (haven't seen since introduction) and a little tiger pistol shrimp (also MIA).
