My jumping plate baby

Found my tiny plate baby balancing on top of the stem of an overturned frag plug. No idea how it got up there. I have to assume it jumped. Keep an eye on your plates, folks!

And yes, I know the plate looks bad with all that exposed skeleton. However, this plate was written off as D-E-A-D dead little more than a week ago. It arrived in bad shape and quickly lost almost all of its tissue:

Not even a mouth left. I just kept it on the sand bed and ignored it. 10 days later:

It grew some tissue and a mouth back. It also can eat small particulate food now. And apparently jump. So don't write off your plates.
