Not real live rock. You're in for 1 to 3 more weeks to have the cycle partially done.

You're heading in the right direction. When trites are at zero, do a WC to cut trates and you are GTG. Nitrates at 10-15ppm is okay, IMO.
Should we summon rip clean to confirm the timeline?

I had to read this 3 times to follow.

"Your cycle is progressing as expected. Once nitrites reach zero, perform a 50% water change. If your nitrates are then in the range of 10 - 15 ppm, in my opinion, you are 'good-to-go' to begin stocking."

Hey, question about cycling my tank.

My ammonia has been at 0ppm for about a week now. But my nitrite hasn’t really gone down. It was at 5ppm for a week and then it looked like it went down to 2ppm. For the last two days my nitrites were at 2ppm and nitrates at 20ppm. But today my tests look like they’re at 5ppm and 10ppm. What’s going on? Is this normal?
I just test for ammonia and Nitrate. Nitrites are just the middle man. Any Nitrates registering yet? I would still keep dosing some ammonia. You want to see the ammonia conver to Nitrate in 24 hrs then you know you golden. Have you added any bacteria?
