Starting to assemble my new foray into nano reef tank. Tinted Rear glass with Luminair 5% window tint, upgraded pump IOAOI nano controllable nano pump rated at 185 gph, Bought a chamber 1 basket & rfg's from 3DOCEAN on Etsy, pink filter floss, Marinepure Gems in lower section of chamber 1 and chamber 2, Kessil A160we Tuna blue with Controller. That's it for now. Bringing zip ties and some braided cord management wrap. So that mess you see will look much cleaner. Also have a UPS for short term power outage until I can get generator running .

Following along! What are you wanting to do with the tank?
Softies and some LPS...maybe eventually SPS. a nano clown, clown goby, and a Pajama Cardinal. Would love if anyone has the schedule they run on the Kessil Aw160 for a similar size tank. Dry rock supposed to arrive today. Once I get aquascape done. Following day Caribsea black live sand will go in. Using Instant Ocean Reef Crystals. Using Brightwell Microbacter start XLM and Dr Tim's ammonia to do a fishless cycle. Have an API saltwater test kit. Plan on upgrading to better kit eventually.

Yeah I love them too...square footage in California is expensive and majority of homes don't have a basement so A large reef tank is out of the question. So I am limited in tank size. I am forced to not get addicted lol. If we ever move to a larger spot I definitely will though lol.

Aquascape ......I know I was heavy handed with the epoxy lol...I was just paranoid about it falling apart. Applied super glue gel, then went over with thin set glue, then aquamend epoxy.

My salinity 1.023. Since tank is empty should I slowly add some salt to raise it to 1.026? Or let it evaporate and slowly add saltwater to raise it? Flow look good? Think I am going to have to get a digital Salinity meter. My old eyes don't see those little lines well enough.
