Well.. over the holidays my RedSea ATO sensor stopped working, (seems like something that happens somewhat regularly https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/red-sea-ato-water-level-sensor-failure.1059288/). I was away for 14 days and didn't realize until halfway through the trip. At that point the damage was done and all I could do was send a buddy over to manually top off the tank every few days. Everything fell out of balance and once that snowball got going, it didn't stop. Now its all unraveling at the seams and its heartbreaking. I'm mentally preparing to start the long climb back to the top but I wanted to share a few pictures of what I worked so hard to build before it all came crashing down.

Beautiful mixed tank, sorry you lost it. Stuff always goes wrong on vacation, my last major malfunction was during a heat wave and I was out of town... well the central air ofc died and my tank go to 92 and I lost a bunch of coral and some fish.

I put wifi cams on my tank now when I leave and ideally one on the sump too to try and watch for anything odd.

I have been in this situation last summer. We are out of the country for a vacation and in the middle of it ATO malfunctioned. We came home with a soup of dead fish and corals. Not a single life in the tank including my 8 year old pair of clownfish.

Is anything doing alright, or does it look like a complete collapse? Can we get pics of it now? It's possible things might recover, I've found that some of our corals can be far hardier than we expect. Hope for the best, expect the worst.
