Not sure why this is happening. All my other corals are happy and opening up. Just this one torch doesn’t want to. I’ve tried moving it around to different flow areas but nothing changed. It used to open up but not any more. Now it’s just shriveled and the flesh is receding

Salinity 1.025
Kh 9.5
Calcium 410
Mg 1425
(Not sure about my nitrate and phosphate because my tests are reading .25 and 40ppm respectively but I think my tests are faulty. Going to check that out) but either way it’s not affecting any of my other corals.

no visible parasites, or brown jelly or anything like that. ive tried dipping it, and changing feeding. nothing works. now im just debating getting rid of it so it doesnt affect any other torches near by

I don’t see anything with your parameters that would be causing it. Light and flow should be ok since the other torches look happy. How long has it been in there? Some take longer to acclimate than others. Mine look ticked off for a week or more when splitting. Sometimes they take turns looking ticked off for a few days without any apparent reason. Flesh band is a little smaller than I would like but your torch is not at deaths door. I was given a torch on it’s way out that had no flesh band over a year and a half ago and it’s doing great.

What did you use as a dip?

when moving I give it about 1-2 weeks to see if anything changes. so I just moved it there last sunday from a different spot with still no luck. about a bit over a month ago I started to see that the tentacles weren't as fat and puffy anymore and it would close up a lot earlier than normal. and now its where its at. maybe it is splitting as both heads look like they are pulling away from each other but im not too sure. more or less if it dies or not its whatever, I just dont want it to spread to my other torches as they are doing really well.

While feeding your fish, spot feed the torch meaty food like mysis.
