Hello I have a Fluval Nano 13.5 gal, I am still in the cycling process I just bought a Ro/Di filter for my water. In the meantime I’ve had the tank cycling with premixed salt water (Nutri-SeaWater). I have noticed that the water in the tank has dissipated at quite a fast pace in my opinion probably about a quarter inch somewhat less then that. Since it’s a smaller tank I know that trying to keep the levels right is going to be more challenging. I believe something to help me keep a peace of mind would be getting a ATO system for the tank. Do you all recommend any ATO system to me for a tank of this size? Or is there anything else I should look at getting before continuing the process of setting this tank up? I am just looking to make things a little easier for myself. This is my first tank and I know smaller tanks can be harder to maintain than larger tanks. So any advice to get me started here would be great.

I guess beyond that, I have ordered a refractometer with my RoDi filter. I am wondering what would be the best practice to get my tank back into the correct salinity range? As my tank is still cycling currently with no live stock. It doesn’t seem as tricky as it would be once I have fish in the tank. I guess any help with best practices would be great. Thank You for your time.

An ATO is vital to maintain the salinity, and you definitely need it if you ever want to go on vacation.

I have 3 tanks, and 2 of them have the Auto Aqua Smart ATO mentioned above, they've been very reliable for me.

This broke on me after two weeks. Looking for another system currently, will say the customer service was decent.

I just ordered the Osmolator 3 Nano Tunze. I have had Aqua Smart and Duetto. The reason I like the Tunze is that pumps are easily replaceable. Tunze makes a good product.
