Need help with your aquascape?

I've watched your videos and looked through all of your suggestions on this thread. I think I've created an aquascape that will meet with approval for both the Golden Rule and fish habitats. I've created two islands of different heights, with a nice valley that runs at an angle away from the eye. Considering this valley is the general same as the line of sight from the rest of the room (tank is in the corner), it'll provide a nice view. Even from the side, there is variety so that the rock work isn't flat when viewed. Yet there are still plenty of caves, swim throughs, and the rock is generally stable without epoxy. The left island has a rock with a bit of a natural overhang. In the pictures, the top looks a little flat. I am going to epoxy it at a bit more of an angle, but the epoxy isn't here yet.

Looking forward to comments and advice.

@truetricia I really like this and I agree an angle to that rock on the left will make it even better. The heights are good and the nooks and crannies are quite interesting.

To be honest, I would like to see the separation of the original rock without the new rock. I imagine that alone looks interesting. It seems, though, you are adding rock to add spots for coral placement, so in that case, I get it and it looks pretty good. It is perhaps more rock over all than my tastes prefer (and your opinion matters more).

The peak heights are pretty uniform along the top, but the shapes up there have a lot of variety in the "ups and downs." The gentle overall slope to it works I think. I also feel the newness of the white rock is distracting me and as I try to envision it mature, I think it will look very interesting.

Hey guys, i think i am in my own head too much to be of any objectivity on this scape im working on for my 48x18x20 75. Im eventually making it a mixed reef so i wanted to leave plenty of room for sticks up top. I have 2 options in the pics but am open to any and all suggestions.
The tank will be viewable from the front and left panes, so i sloped the rocks that way. The little island is going to be favia island, where all the favias can hang out. Gotta have an arch somewhere, but I'm having a hard time figuring out where to put it

In the middle, or on the side.

I feel like it looks kinda awkward still and can't pinpoint why.

I do have about 20lbs of rock not in the pics to add if need be.

Option 2 for sure.

Creating a seamless look between each rock will help the overall look. You can use rock rubble and stick it in the crevasses with putty.

The very top rock on the right side looks like it’s floating, as far as I’m concerned it’s the only slightly “awkward” part of the scape, and an easy fix!

Ok so I will be setting my first reef/salt tank up and was messing around with some aquascape and looking for some feedback on this that I kinda like. Cardboard is cut to actual tank size it’s a 120 or so gallon tank.

So here’s my rock scape, looking for placement tips. I reallly want the zoa garden up top on the big flat rock, has a cool overhang all the way around.
Beyond that it’s all up in the air.
Any tips on what can go in and placement?
Looking for non sps for now.
Maybe a few easier sps in several months when I’m ready for that.
Picking up purple hammer and some gsp today, and next week a nice big Duncan that I’m thinking can go on the end of the tank opposite the overflow section.
Essentially I want every side to be its own “main viewing angle”.
Busy but not cramped

But ultimately I landed on a bridged layout with some smaller little "islands" in the sand in front. The taped dimension is the inside dimension of my Red Sea Reefer 250, forgive my photoshop chop job...

Curious to hear any feedback... It offers some good cave potential and flow in front, around, and behind... some good real estate for corals as well...

Looks ok but i would change a few things . ( if it was my tank )
the big rock left i would turn a quater against the clock en the 2 stones on the left against each other i would give some space in between.
The 2 small stones in front of your scape i would take them out .

Could the bridging rock be flipped so that it arches up lather than down?

Could you stack the two small rocks to make a mini pinnacle?

Would welcome some input. The far end of the peninsula with the curved rocks is to hold a sand bed for my wrasses. The rest of the tank will stay bare.
