I’m in the market for a new glass cleaner for the new year. The one I’m currently using and all I’ve ever used in my reefing career are Mag Floats. I’m not really concerned about which ones tend to scratch the glass more and which ones don’t as I’m sure all cleaners have the potential if sand gets caught between cleaner and glass. I just want suggestions on which ones clean the best. TIA and Happy 2025!

Love this thing. And no glass scratching!

I tried a magnet from Maxspect called the Refine. Absolutely love it. The blades are extra think and the handle comes with a built in blade sharpener. Has gliding feet and also works on glass 1" thick. I have tried them all and this one I would definately recommend.

Im getting scared of magnets. I actually have the flipper and every time I pass it to the glass I feel the glass vibration could affect the corner seams.

I'm one who can't see spending large amounts of cash on a scraper/ glass cleaner so I had a cheap aqueon mag scrubber and a scraper with 18 inch handle. It was a lot of work but it got the job done. Then I found this. It will easily scrape Coraline and strong enough to move around corners on my 120. I love this thing. Makes cleaning glass no matter how dirty so easy. Scraper is removable.

Another tunze fan here. I have 3, one for each tank.
@Sisterlimonpot makes a ceramic blade to go on the small end. This thing is the shizzle for getting tougher algae like the green stuff that takes hand scraping with a blade.
