All just a heads up, new FW coming out this week. This update adds the ability to get into bluetooth mode (read only) without internet/server connectivity for app user validation.

HYDROS App & Firmware Update Coming THIS WEEK, 12/19

This is NOT a forced update, HOWEVER, if you haven't disabled automatic updates through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, your HYDROS app may update automatically, which will then require a firmware update.

IMPORTANT: Never update when you're away from your aquarium. Always be physically present during the update to ensure a smooth process.
Here’s what to expect in this update:
[FEATURE] – Added emergency access when the internet is completely out.
[FEATURE] – Ability to change the time it takes for the cloud to send a notification after it can no longer detect a device.
[OPTIMIZATION] – Improved the way collective devices report WiFi connectivity problems.
[OPTIMIZATION] – Improved the LED pattern on X4, X2, XD, XS, X3, and WaveEngine v1/v2/LE to display WiFi connection status better as well as alarms

If you have automatic app updates enabled in your App Store then it will automatically update your app when it’s released Thursday. If not you have to manually download it from the App Store.

Once you have it, firmware updates are only installed by you. You will get a prompt to update at this time. But ONLY update if you are home and local to the system. If not the app has a link to a web version of the previous app that works with your current firmware. You can use this web based app until you have time to update the firmware. If you are home and have time to update you can click update and download the firmware. The online guide goes over some of this process as well

HYDROS Control - How to Update to the Latest Firmware

When the HYDROS app opens, you will be alerted if you need to download updates. After the update, your Control restarts. We recommend restarting the app.
