I watched that video the other day. Didnt notice any disco ball. Did you see some somewhere or are you saying you didnt see any on this video?
I’ll post pics tomorrow of my 200 gallon. No disco ball at all, just a light shimmer.

Honestly, better than my ReefBreeder photon 50 V2+. My coral coloration looks much better. The Reef breeders are nice, but the only benefit they have over these is the app, which I’m fine with the Nicrew controller.

I am super pleased with the 3 200 watt I purchased! Was worried I’d need 4. Nope! Great spread and the color pop is crisp. The only small complaint is the fans could be a little quieter, but it’s not a deal breaker. Well worth the buy! Solid par readings with my Apogee!
Thats good to hear! Second person to comment on the noise though. Can you compare it to anything as far as how loud they are? I need to go plug mine up and see... Thinking hopefully its not louder than something like my 11in Honeywell fan.

I think without an outlet timer you do. But if you use the rough manual controls, outlet timers can be pretty cheap.

Going to be setting up a 63” Tank here in the near future and I’m seriously considering these, or another similar option. Obviously the cost is the main factor. Looking at running 3 of these over a 63” Red Sea 650 Peninsula. 63” long by 24” high by 25 Tall. Would this be sufficient, more lights? Better fixture? I do have a spare AI32 that I just ordered that I could use, but would then need / want to use 3 of the hydras which in turn is going to be another $1000+

Finally got around to turning mine on. I would characterize the fan noise as maybe bothersome if you kept a silent house and had an open top with no canopy and maybe you worked right next to your reef tank. Even then it's not that loud and it's a white noise I think some if not most would get used to. It's definitely fair to point it out but I would say most people should not to be overly concerned about it. But this is my subjective opinion.

Not sure what wattage you're considering getting but I've little doubt these are going to be a sufficient lighting solution for any tank. These things are BRIGHT. Turned one unit on over an empty box and it made looking out my window at sunlight seem almost dim in comparison.

What are the dimensions of your tank? I got the 100’s also and my tank depth is about 16”. I’m running the lights at about 65% and everything is responding really well including sps

Took mine apart tonight to check it out inside. Not much to report.

You take the 4 Philips head screws out that are in the mounting holes and the top piece pops off. There are 4 spacers that are not attached so don’t lose them.

Then there are 6 Philips screws to let you remove the LEDs, circuit boards, and other items from the black casing.

I didn’t go any further than that though since I plan to use this light and don’t want to mess it up on accident.

The 6 screws holding the unit together have little rubber washers around them that are pointless. If they are there for any type of water resistance, they won’t do that. 2 of the 6 were torn before I did anything. Another one tore as I very lightly tightened the screws down.

The fans turn on at around 110°. After one hour of running at 100%, the heat sink was around 125°. I don’t see most running these at 100%. It’s very white at 100% everything. Very similar to a Radion Pro.

I semi rigged it over my 25g just to see it over rock and coral. I saw no disco effect and I’m very sensitive to seeing disco with LEDs.

The tank mount is absolutely solid! I have not tested if it tilts when fully extended but hope to test that soon.

Overall, this light is super impressive IMO. 3 of the 200s with tank mounts included are less than 1 XR30.

Btw…I bought this light off Amazon in case anyone thinks this is a “sponsored” post.

Man, putting in for the community! Solid review. Thank you for the info. Never know what data points you wanna know in the future. Logging specifics like this is nice to have.

Heads up, if you buy the lights now during the holiday window you get almost a 3 month return window. Bought mine novemeber 12th and they're eligible for return until January 31st.
