Hey guys, I was looking at my tank today and noticed something growing out of the side of some rock. Any one have an idea what this could be?

Any way you can get a white light picture and maybe indicate where you are talking about? It'll be easier to see that way.

You may well see more pop up. Don't get too worried about it. They are not the best, but they are FAR from the worst. I have had them in all my tanks, and they seem to come and go. They are sharp little guys, I have gotten a finger poked more than once while working in there!

Tip: A lot of phones will automatically adjust the spectrum to filter out most of the blue if you open the camera app while the camera is already pointed at the tank.
