Serpent stars are always a nice surprise. We had a serpent star in the tank that I grew up around, and it seemed like that things lasted forever. It even had some babies. They're kind of freaky but super cool.

Serpent stars are always a nice surprise. We had a serpent star in the tank that I grew up around, and it seemed like that things lasted forever. It even had some babies. They're kind of freaky but super cool.
Ours definitely reproduced. Every time I fed their arms would come out of holes in the rock all over the place. We had a Kenya tree coral on a magnetic rock on the right side of the tank. There were some gaps between the rock and the glass. The sea stars would hide behind the rock but you could see the entire animal through the glass
