so heres the deal my pulsing xenia has a hole in it i just noticed it today no pic sorry but ill describe it to the best of my capabilities it juts out a little bit probably the size of an eraser on a pencil its on the base of the coral and its kind of like a little bowl or indent but i juts out and theres a hole in it srry bad description can i get some help though i wasnt sure what to put this thread in could my xenia be growing another arm

Xenia melts when in trouble so if its not melting it is most likely ok.

They do that, grow a nub out the side then lay over (down) and attach that nub to the rock, then stretch that area till it tears apart and grows another Zen from the tore off part.

yeah.... it can be hard to sell. Sometimes LFS will take it and give you a credit tho.

They grow up and tward the light as they take over your tank .


I have a bunch of it that all started from a tiny frag.

If it gets too close to something you can peel it off the rocks.
Some corals will sting the heck out of it if it gets too close.
