This seems like possibly my best choice for what many feel is a quality brand, and I do not want acrylic, and custom is just ... Well, ouchie, and quite the long wait times.

Thoughts?

If make the trip north to SJ, take a look at the Ultum Nature Systems R90 that Neptune Aquatics just set up. Closest to your desired specs would be the R180 size. More info here: UNS Reef Systems

I've been super happy with my Fiji Cube so far. I have the 57g, but they have a 171g one with basically the dimensions you're looking for.

Certainly willing to take other recommendations, but was hoping to hear some positive feedback regarding the waterbox infinia, specifically around no seam failure issues (since I have a RedSea and this is likely to replace it)

If there are any seam failures with Waterbox, they are very few and far between.

I’m sure Glasscages would be more but man Joe and the team are amazing! Not to mention built in the USA and supporting local manufacturing

I do like that, but I'm 1) worried after reading all the horror stories of RS failures, and 2) often impatient. I don't mind spending a little more $$ though. I'll go look at their website again, i'm trying to remember if they make stands as well.

if you are worried about seams then skip any rimless aquarium.

If you really don’t want to worry about seams then acrylic

They do everything at glasscages. Also have seen that their customer service is second to none. If any questions I'd just give them a call.

My tank thread is a WB lx 330.7 It's only been running since March but I'm happy with it. Customer has been very good answering questions and getting answers from engineering as needed when I had questions.
I really was leaning towards a custom build from glass cages but I just couldn't motivate myself to do all the plumbing. A few years earlier with less body aches and I would have gone custom. The nice thing about custom is as long as the funds are available you don't have to compromise on anything. My compromise going with WB was the stand hieght, I really wanted a lower stand.

Yep, they do awesome stands! Joe and I are finalizing my new build right now and they are building me a stand.
