Thanks Tim!

Have a newborn at home so I’m on just maintain mode right now but the tank is settling in nicely.

Got a pic of Goliath this am when the lights came on. He’s older than both my kids and the size of my fist haha

Congrats on the newborn!

That SCOP or whatever it is is getting big!

Yeah it’s loving life with higher nitrates. Too high IMO, up around 33 now even with the ammonia dosing stopped weeks ago. I cleaned the skimmer and set it to skin wetter so hopefully can get it down naturally.

I keep struggling to keep phosphate above zero even though I’m dosing 10-15ml of neophos a day. I’m guessing that imbalance is playing into the nitrate rising so much. Gonna try Phos-Feed as my bottle is almost empty.

Let us know the results. I have also been looking into replacing neophos. I’m not convinced it is the best option for phosphate additive.

This is a wonderful system. I am also old school, favouring German designed equipment, I swear everytime I complicate things or try new technology, it just ends up hurting more than helping.
Thank you!

Will do. The Phos-Feed appears to be more tedious and expensive but if it’s a more direct way of giving the corals what they need I’m all for it.

Let me know how it goes for you Ben. For some reason acros always got ticked at me when I tried dosing NeoPhos or trisodium phosphate. They haven't been upset with Phos-Feed but maybe they are more resilient for other reasons.

Thanks.

Oregon tort and Greg Carroll Ultimate Blue Stag, both taking over the tank haha
Nice, I have cali, Oregon and Big E’s navy tort in my tank. Can’t wait till they really size up as they are great looking under whiter lights. I also just got a hoekisemi that is a really nice blue

Jealous. I’d love to have a piece of Ed’s Navy tort or a hoeksami!

I just stopped by his place earlier this week to pick them up lol. I had a nice colony of the navy tort years ago but lost it when I moved so I’m excited to have it back in the tank. It is such a solid blue color. I got a nice frog of OP from him as well (right behind the tort)

My wife has a pretty nice camera I forgot about. Just auto settings and an orange filter nailed the actual appearance.

R2R seems to compress the pic when I attach.

Very old school canopy. I had more than one like that.
Beautiful system!
