Wanted to post an update James Walker aka @ReclawReef is local to me and actually the guy who bought out my old setup livestock and all had a slew of used equipment so I am snagging Curve 7 skimmer, turf scrubber, coralife UV and a dual BRS media reactor from him this weekend. I am also getting some help from Greg Morgan at clear choice distribution on some LET T5 60” retro fit kits. Will keep posted on the updates. I am thinking about resin pouring the cutout in the canopy I have some epoxy resin but it’s pretty old never opened but may try that instead of using plexi on the back side. Looking to mount the lights on cabinet drawer slides to make bulb changes easier as well as adding some computer fans to the canopy. Never had a tank with a canopy so any insight would be great, I sealed the inside of the canopy with kraken silicone and the same bluish exterior water based paint as I did the inside of the stand. Concerns with the canopy are surface air exchange planning to run skimmer intake to outside air, never done this before either thinking of running 3/4 pvc in the wall to the attic and over to an eve not sure attic air would be much better than inside air. In the dual media reactor looking to run biopellets in one half and carbon in the other but will likely change because I really want to add Ozone at some point. I have never had a monitor/controller so that is a goal to aspire to as well later, I have an office on the other side of the wall which I will work on turning into a fish room have a small collection of horticulture lights which I am planning to use to culture my own phyto down the road. I had two 15 amp circuits installed for the old system that are on a different wall in the living room so I will tap them in the attic and put in two dedicated drops now on this wall. Helps to have an electrician as a brother .

Bargain Basement Haul from Reklaw Reef this evening thank you again James for all the hook ups to get us back in the hobby! The tank has a name now guys it’s the “Vinquarium” we have Radion Gen 3’s, a bubble magnus curve 7, gyre 250’s, coral life twist UV, a 302 Aquatics algae turf scrubber. And to top it all off some of the rock I got from him are pieces of Pukani from our old tank!

I still have a rather large piece of Pukani leftover probably a 10lbs piece or so and some rubble think I will break it up and add it to the sump. These structures are made from a mix of Florida Base, Marco Dry Rock, and Pukani utilizing BRS Gel Super Glue and Marco Mortar.
