Tying this back to the other thread on ATS and how it might deter algae in the display, algae can use a massive amount of manganese, and only 1-2 grams of new growth in a day can entirely strip a tank of manganese in the water, so it will be interesting to see your results.

So based on the last screenshot, A standard dose is .3 ml/day

I am dosing .4ml/day

And I should be dosing .3 standard + .3 for having macro + .3 for large amount of coral. So I should dose .9ml / day?

Some trace elements are needed. But in high concentrations, it becomes toxic. Does this apply for manganese?

Manganese is one trace element that gets rapidly depleted within a day or two. Every time I've sent an ICP test, it shows as not detectable. I've made a dosing dilution of Manganese Sulfate Monohydrate (MnSO4.H2O) to add 1ml to my tank to bring it to natural sea water concentrations of Mn.

If I were to overdose by twice or quadruple every day (not knowing how much corals or algae uptake), and eventually overshoot NSW, will this be detrimental to my tank?
So I was dosing 5-6 ml of moonshiners manganese daily into my 75 g (sump is a 40 breeder. When I stated in June my Mn was .72

Then I started dosing my on home made mix and cut my dosing back to 2 ml a day (yup made it strong). I recently tested and was at .92 a day

Can you over dose manganese yea

Looks like for at least two species Mn becomes toxic at greater that 1,900ug/l (yes 1,900)
