Got a pair of these guys about a week ago and one seems to have some sort of growth on it. Does these look like a parasite of some sort?

I have the same thing. I took tweezers and pulled it off. It's a roundish thing about 3mm with an obvious digestive tract.
It did leave a wound so I am not sure if the shrimp will live. It was under the shell and a tint bit of it came away. It seems to be the same shape as the parasite.

Did your shrimp end up living?

I know he lived for several days. I kept finding him in my sump. I moved him back to the DT twice and then lost track of him. I did not see him the last time I cleaned the sump.

Will these eventually get on my fish also?
